Mr. Deka is a Masters in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management & Marketing Management. He has completed his post – graduation Diploma in Hospital Administration and also in Journalism & Mass Communication. Mr. Deka attended IIM, Ahmedabad and completed EEP on Managerial Excellence in Healthcare.

He is a senior healthcare leader with over 20 years experience in healthcare. He has worked across all the verticals of healthcare in NE region including premium birthing of hospitals. He has joined Ayursundra superspecialty Hospital as CEO in July 2020.

Mr. Deka started his professional carrier with GNRC Hospitals in 2001 and worked there in different positions and roles till 2010.Then he joined Hayat Hospital, Guwahati as General Manager. In 2014, Mr. Deka joined International Hospital (Present Apollo Guwahati) as General Manager - Business Development & Public Relation. Prior to joining Ayursundra, Mr. Manoj Kr. Deka was with Health City Hospital (North East Health City Pvt. Ltd), Guwahati. In Health City he has played many roles as Project Head and Business Head & COO with P & L responsibility. He was also the Founder CFO of Health City Hospital.

Mr. Deka was awarded “Excellence in Healthcare Advocacy“ at the Healthcare Excellence Awards 2021 of “News 18 Assam”. He was also honoured with “Byatikram Hospital Administrator and Planner “ award in 2020.

His major areas of interest are strategic business planning, hospital operation, project co-ordination, public relation & branding and incubating new business ideas.

Mr. Deka has also worked as a responsible journalist in the past. He loves to write and booked his name as the first writer of Assamese e-novel and also did some theatre works. Outside work, his interests lie in reading, writing and driving.

From January 2022 Mr. Deka has been assigned as the Group Head of Ayursundra.  Ayursundra Group has different verticals like hospitals, clinic, pharmacy, training and diagnostics business. Mr. Deka is aggressively looking at consolidating the existing position by building strong road map leading for future growth.  Deka is looking at integrating all the verticals under one roof in order to drive economics of scale and also drive efficiency for a sustainable growth. He would also be responsible for expansion of the group business within the North East India.
